Description
Arc Air style Gouging Torch 3000PSI 500 Amp RK-3
Technical Data
An ordinary welding machine is normally used as a power source for the torch. Care must be taken to assure that the machine is of sufficient size to produce the required current. Amperage required depends upon the size (diameter) of the electrode as shown in the table below.

Air Requirements
Compressed air at 80 to 100 psi (5.62 to 7.03 kg/cm2) and 30 to 35 cfm (0.85 to 0.99m3/min) is required for optimum removal of the molten metal (slag) from the gouge, groove or cut. Recommended compressor rating: (a) continuous torch use hp/7.46kw: (b) Intermittent Torch Use 7.5/hp5.59kw. Be sure that air supply lines are at least 3/8 ID & are unrestricted.
